Raluca Nechita: An actress and teacher who is based in Paris, where she has been working in English, French and Romanian for over 10 years. On stage, she has acted both in French ("Cut" by Emmanuelle Marie) and English ("Wanda's Visit" by Christopher Durang, "Listen! I'm dying" by Anton Bonnici, “The Married Widow” by David Sauvage, “The Most Massive Woman Wins” by Madeleine George). In front of the camera, she has been part of short-film projects ("A Snail on a Razorblade" by Linné Human, "The Last Days of May" by Dale LaRue, "One Croissant a Day Keeps the Demons at Bay" by Adam Habib) and web-series ("Dans un autre monde" by Valentin Bourdeau). She has also lended her voice to animation characters ("How to Be Kong" by Riccardo Monica; "Comment ratatiner?" by Canal +) and to an RFI podcast, "Les voisins du 12 bis". When she is not on stage herself, she likes to offer the stage to others: whether by teaching theater and improv to children and adults or by using theater to discuss topics of concern and help with individual expression.
Saxon : Saxon is a South African born actor, after moving to Paris in order to pursuie his dream where he trained at Cours Florent. Upon graduation Saxon worked on a number of projects both classical and contemporary such as Titus Andronicus, Romeo & Juliet and The Tempest. For the past two seasons the Théâtre en Anglais public have been stunned by his interpretation of Nelson Mandela in Prisoner 46664 : Nelson Mandela and awed by his E. D. Nixon in Tired of Giving in – the Rosa Parks story. He is delighted to be invited to join the team of artistes-intervenants and to bring the stories and theatre games into the school.
Chrissie Chery : Born in 1991 into a multilingual family, Christie Chery first clambered onto the stage at the age of 8 - as Mr Rat in Fantastic Mr Fox, and yet another rat in Dick Whittington. These formative rodent years gave her a real taste for all things theatrical, and she went on to study as an actress at the Ecole Artefact in Paris, and at the EVA Intercultural School of Stage Arts, under Peter Tournier. As an actress, writer and musician, she founded the 'Au Creux du Mot' company in 2019, which mingles story-telling, poetic writing and intense dramatic exploration, in both french and english. Christie was on tour with the THEATRE EN ANGLAIS as a knight, a witch, Merlin, Laura and Hamlet. She has also worked as a drama and english teacher for both french and bilingual children of all ages, in work-shops that have ranged from straight language classes to english-through-drama
Kirby Brown: Kirby is a multidisciplinary visual and performance artist. She received her BA in Theatre Arts from California State University, Long Beach, USA. She is a singer and dancer and has performed musical theater throughout California and in Chicago. Favorite roles include Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Elaine in Arsenic and Old Lace and Sylvia in Sylvia.
Heza: An actor ,and workshop leader, who played Nelson Mandela in « The Life of Nelson Mandela » for two years to over 70 000 students in France with Théâtre en Anglais, he also played Macbeth, Romeo and the 3 daughters of Lear in « William Shakespeare’s World » in the 2019-2020 season. He played E. D. Nixon and Mandela again in 2023-2024. He is delighted to have the opportunity to come into schools to provide workshops preparing or debriefing your students on the shows this year.
Jonathan: actor, writer, director, theatre teacher, workshop leader and voice-over artist who met Lucille O’Flanagan playing her husband in the film 'LOL !' Jonathan wrote and played in « 3 Missing Coins » and played the filmed Porter in « Mr & Mrs Macbeth » and the judge in « Prisoner 46664 : Nelson Mandela » for the Théâtre en Anglais.
Kelsy Zelma Hercs : Kelsey is an American director, writer, and sometimes performer. As a recent Paris transplant from New York, she is delighted to join the Théâtre En Anglais team.
