romeo and juliet

The nurse tells Juliet that Romeo has killed Tybalt
romeo and juliet
Juliet : Blister'd be thy tongue
For such a wish ! He was not born to shame :
Upon his brow shame is ashamed to sit ;
For 'tis a throne where honour may be crown'd
Sole monarch of the universal earth.
O, what a beast was I to chide at him !

At dawn, Romeo leaves Juliet's bedroom :
romeo and juliet
Romeo: It was the lark, the herald of the morn,
No nightingale: Look, love, what envious streaks
Do lace the severing clouds in yonder east;
Night's candles are burnt out, and jocund day
Stands tiptoe on the misty mountain tops:
I must be gone and live, or stay and die.

The Friar gives Juliet the sleeping potion:
romeo and juliet
Friar Laurence: Take thou this vial, being then in bed,
And this distill'd liquor drink thou off:
When presently through all thy veins shall run
A cold drowsy humour; for no pulse
Shall keep his native progress; but surcease;
No warmth, no breath, shall testify thou liv'st
The roses in thy lips and cheeks shall fade
To paly ashes; thy eyes' windows fall,
Like death, when he shuts up the day of life;
Each part, deprived of subtle government
Shall, stiff and stark and cold, appear like death:
And in this borrowed likeness of shrunk death
Thou shalt continue two and forty hours,
And then awake as from a pleasant sleep.
